Demographics

WWFF is seeking to do more beyond showcasing women in front of and behind the camera. WWFF is striving for inclusiveness and diversity and balance of gender, race, film positions, and more. It takes a team to create a film and WWFF wants to help expand recognition for all.

WWFF collaborates with organizations that support filmmakers with resources, services, other platforms to help them expand their reach.

Submissions Statistics

To date 86% of films submitted to the film festival are directed/produced by women. Films have come from 43 countries and in two years we’ve shown over 180 films. 73 student films submitted since the inception. Approximately 80% of submissions come from short films, 12% from feature films, and 8% from other including web-series and music videos. Documentaries are included in these percentages.
